The newsletter
When you click Keep me posted, we process your email address, selected starting lens, consent record, subscription status and the minimum delivery information returned by our email provider. We use this to send the Practical AI newsletter and welcome email, keep an unsubscribe request, prevent duplicate or abusive sign-ups, and plan useful editorial starting points.
Your starting lens is stored for editorial planning only. It does not change the newsletter you receive today, and we never send your email address or lens to PostHog analytics.
Our legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time through the unsubscribe link in an email or by emailing us.

Optional analytics
If you select Accept and continue, we use PostHog EU Cloud to measure limited site events: page paths, page views, CTA clicks, audience-page selections and signup-flow success or failure. We do not enable session recordings, heatmaps, automatic capture, persistent analytics storage or user profiles. We do not send your email address, form content or an identifier derived from your email to PostHog.
Analytics is based on your consent. Your choice is stored in local storage in your browser until you change it in or clear browser data. You can decline without losing access to the site.
PostHog EU Cloud stores customer event data in Germany. Like other cloud services, it may use support and sub-processors outside the EEA under its applicable data-processing terms.
Hosting, email and locations
We use Netlify to host the site and protect the newsletter sign-up endpoint. Netlify may process normal technical request information, such as IP address, browser and security logs, to deliver and secure the service. We will choose an EU Function region when our Netlify plan makes that available; that setting only controls where the function executes and does not make every provider EU-only.
We use Resend to store newsletter contacts and send email. The sending region for this newsletter is Ireland. Resend’s account data and logs may still be processed in the United States, with transfer safeguards described in Resend’s data-processing terms.
The homepage currently loads some visual assets from Iconify, Microsoft and Unsplash. Those providers receive a normal browser request, including technical request information such as your IP address, when the asset loads. This is separate from optional PostHog analytics.
Your rights and choices
Subject to the GDPR, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You can withdraw newsletter and analytics consent at any time. We normally respond within one month and may ask for enough information to confirm that the request concerns your data.

We update this page when the way we use data changes. The date at the top tells you when it was last updated.
